We have acquired a few second-hand JBC HD-2B soldering stations. They can be converted to accept C245 tips/cartridges which are better suited for the kind of work we are looking to do. See the guide on eevblog forum.

We have a converted one for FAFO now, right @rahix? Can we mark this issue as completed?

From my side I'd say yes, we now have a working soldering station for FAFO. There is the problem with the intermittent "Open Circuit" warning that @q3k still wanted to look into, but this doesn't block using the station.

@hugo, if I forget, can you take a picture of the station and add it to the original issue comment?

@q3k, it would also be nice to publish the design files and documentation for the conversion board.
