Experience from the last few experimental recording sessions: It would be very nice to have a preview screen attached to the rig where we you can see at a glance whether the action is still in frame
I think a tripod and a longer cable for the camera are going to be the next most important things right now.
I just went on ebay and bought a decent fluid head and tripod. Load capacity of the tripod is 15 kg, the fluid head weighs 4.6 kg and supports top weight loads of about 6.8kg. The counter weight of the fluid head is probably to heavy for our small Canon C100.
Our camera, the canon c100, weighs about 1 kg without the lens and top handle.
